Position title: Intern, Human Resources/ Legal (with keen interest in HR-Legal work) 

Location: Geneva

Purpose of the position: To support Senior Manager, Human Resources Policy & Legal with HR matters having legal implications, polices and processes & research.

Duration: 1 June 2024 for up to 24 weeks

KEY RESULTS EXPECTED

  • Researching on various HR - Legal topics;
  • Primary role of the intern would be to assist Senior Manager, Human Resources Policy & Legal with daily work on employee relations and HR policies; 

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The intern will produce memoranda on HR-Legal topics, correspondence, and memos;  
  • Drafting and liaising with internal stakeholders on information collection;
  • Supporting with tracking employee relation situations and regularly updating it;
  • Working with the different members of the HR team, as and when required under the supervision of the Senior Manager;
  • Conduct research on legal jurisprudence and benchmarking exercise on different policy aspects;
  • Insightful analysis and presentation of data;
  • Other tasks and research projects will be assigned on an ad hoc basis;

QUALIFICATIONS

Academic:

  • University degree Ideally in Law (with a keen interest in employee relations and policy work) or in HR (with a keen interest in employee relations and policy work);

Skills/Competencies:

  • Excellent written and drafting skills;
  • Excellent research skills;
  • Good understanding of data collection and analysis;
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative;
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office tools;
  • Ability to work well in a team, particularly in a multi-cultural environment;

Languages:

  • Excellent knowledge of English;
  • Working knowledge of French would be an advantage;
