Functional Setting:

The Team Assistant is expected to work under a project that deals with improving migration management and migrant protection in select Central Asian countries. The specific objectives are:​​ to enhance a gender-sensitive and rights-based comprehensive migration governance in Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan; and to support informed decision-making and resilience of migrants at the personal, family and community level in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan covering the full migration cycle and in respect of gender and human rights considerations.

In particular, the Team Assistant will support activities that deal with migration governance, community education and awareness raising. S/he will work under the supervision of the Senior Project Manager based in Vienna, Austria. ​

Position-Specific Expertise:

  • Knowledge and understanding of the migration situation in the country;
  • Experience in capacity building, information campaign and awareness raising.

Position-Specific Qualifications and Language Skills

  • In addition to the languages listed in the job profile (i.e. fluent English), Russian is a requirement​​.
