Overview of position

Role objectives

  • Performs troubleshooting, repair, maintenancen & installation of power generation equipments in accordance with project requirements & equipment specifications.

  • Diagnoses standby generator sets, system malfunction & service interuptions.

  • Performs routine maintenance, cleaning & repair of generators & facilities.

  • Installs, operates, maintains & repairds power generators & repair facilities.

  • Places, operates, maintains & repairs spot generators, standby generators, portable generators & light carts.

  • Completes electronic & manual work orders & reports as required.

  • May provide task level guidance to less experiences personnel as directed.

  • Responsible for maintaining a fleet of power generators as assigned.

  • As directed by management, may supervise employees or sub contractor personnel in accordance with the general supervisory duties & responsibilities addendum.
Project reporting

This role reports to the line manager.
Key competencies

  • High school diplom / GED equivalent preferred with 3 to 6 years of related work experience.

  • Required technical skills, job knowledge & physical ability necessary to perform assigned job functions.

  • Journeyman level certification or equivalent is required.

  • Completion of a structured training program in power generation equiment is preferred, typical programs are provided by the U.S. military, major equipment manufacturers & some techincal schools.

  • Position maybe located in a wide variety of environemtns from conventional indoor office workspace to project worksites with harsh working & living conditions.

  • To ensure compliance with safety, health & security requirements in the contract, the employee will possess the ability to read, write, speak & understand English language at the intermediate level as necessary to perform assigned job functions.

  • Position requires basic skills & physical ability to perform assigned job funcitons.
