Brief of Organization:

4S India (www.4sindia.org.in) was established in the year 2003 under the guidance of Shri Vijay Mahajan (Founder of BASIX and PRADAN) and emerging as a regional and national development organization aimed at the betterment of marginalized and vulnerable rural, semi-rural, and diversifying urban communities that depend on agro and non-farm based activities for their livelihood and progress. 4S India has been engaged with small & marginal women farmers to improve their agricultural productivity, increase their involvement in market-linked activities, food processing & related agri- value chain development works. In continuation to these works, 4S is going to develop women-led FPOs and looking for young and dynamic agri-business professionals who will work in close coordination with women farmers for their overall development. 4s Is working as a technical partner with Heifer International and wish to support all the FPOs formed under their project .

Location: Jehanabad , Bihar.

Job Description:

As a Project Associate working with rural communities, you will be responsible for planning ,documentation and reporting various initiatives aimed at improving the livelihoods and well-being of rural populations. You will work closely with community members, stakeholders, and partner organizations to identify needs, develop strategies, and execute projects effectively.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Project Management: Support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of projects targeting marginalized communities, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
2. Community Engagement: Foster strong relationships with community members, local leaders, and other stakeholders to facilitate participation, gather feedback, and ensure projects are responsive to community needs.
3. 3.Capacity Building: Develop training and capacity-building modules ,support to community resource persons to enhance their skills, knowledge, and effectiveness in delivering services and implementing projects.
4. Data Collection and Analysis: Collect, analyse, and interpret data related to project activities, community demographics, and socio-economic indicators to inform decision-making and assess project impact.
5. 5.Reporting and Documentation: Prepare regular reports, case studies, and other documentation to communicate project progress, achievements, challenges, and lessons learned to stakeholders, donors, and partners.
6. 6. Monitoring and Evaluation: Assist Team Leader to develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess project effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and ensure accountability and transparency.

Annual CTS: Upto 25K-30K Based on your Qualification, Experience and others.

Candidates Required:

QUALIFICATION: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as rural development, social sciences, international development, or a related discipline.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Knowledge of rural development issues, challenges, and best practices.
• Fluency in local languages and familiarity with local customs and cultures is an asset.
• Commitment to promoting inclusivity, gender equality, and sustainable development in rural communities.

EXPERIENCE: - -Experience working in rural development or community-based projects, preferably in a similar role.

Maximum Age Limit preference: 25-40 years

Additional Requirements:
• Willingness to travel frequently to project sites in rural areas.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and environments.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Commitment to ethical principles and professional standards in development work.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
• Understanding of and respect for the rights and dignity of community members, especially vulnerable groups such as women, children, and the elderly.
