Jhpiego is an international non-profit health organization affiliated with The Johns Hopkins University, USA. For more than 40 years and in over 150 countries, Jhpiego has worked to prevent the needless deaths of women and their families. Jhpiego is dedicated to improving the health of women and families in developing countries.

Jhpiego works globally to support the primary prevention of cervical cancer through HPV Vaccine for adolescent girls. In Pakistan, Jhpiego, in collaboration with the Federal Directorate on Immunization, the Ministry of Health, and provincial stakeholders, has developed a roadmap for the prevention of cervical cancer and the future introduction of the HPV vaccine in Pakistan after thorough deliberations with subject specialists, professional bodies, stakeholders and policymakers. The roadmap work highlighted insufficient engagement of faith, professional, and community leadership on this specific topic. With financial support of the GAVI – Vaccine Alliance, Jhpiego will provide short and medium-term technical assistance (TA) to support in the development of a Vaccine Introduction Grant application, its revisions based on technical feedback and in pre-introduction activities around engagement with key stakeholders on supply- and demand-sides at both national and regional levels. Jhpiego is seeking a Program Support Officer to ensure seamless assistance for program activities related to HPV vaccine introduction. This position, based at the Jhpiego office, involves providing comprehensive support across administrative, HR, and financial domains. The Program Support Officer will play a pivotal role in coordinating with national and provincial teams, ensuring effective communication, and sharing program updates.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for the implementation of program activities and project work plans at both federal and provincial levels.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date tracking sheet for the grant, ensuring comprehensive records are readily available
  • Assist the team in preparing all necessary documents for program implementation, including budgeting for various activities
  • Establish and maintain an online repository for each process, facilitating knowledge management and efficient reporting.
  • Support the team in implementation of program activities/project workplan at federal and provincial level and keeping record through a tracking sheet maintained for the HAPPI grant.
  • Administrative and logistic support to senior project staff and consultants involved in HPV introduction,
  • Contribute to the preparation of project reports, evaluations, and other project documentation, including yearly and quarterly work-plans, budgets, and reports for donor support
  • Undertake any other relevant tasks assigned by supervisor or Project Lead

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Public Administration, Social sciences or relevant discipline.
  • 4+ years of directly relevant experience in providing administrative and related support to programs, preferably in the development sector.
  • Excellent skills in facilitation, team work and coordination.
  • Proven experience in program support, administration, and logistics.
  • Familiarity with budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Knowledge of database management is advantageous.
