The Finance Associate will assist in AIIB’s financial accounting and reporting, particularly in the preparation of financial reports (including the ESG/Sustainability report) and the performance of general accounting and reporting duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform general accounting duties, complete general ledger operations in the financial system (SAP), assist with periodic financial accounting duties.
  • Review and process data for reporting, assist in preparing periodic financial statements, management report, and ad hoc reports as required.
  • Prepare financial analysis on transactional movements at the trial balance level as well as portfolio level and compare them against historical performance for management report purposes.
  • Facilitate the preparation of ESG/sustainability report disclosures, specifically, the report fulfilling ISSB S1 and S2 disclosure requirements. 
  • Review and reconcile sustainability reporting data with respective internal and external data points, and prepare the data for ESG/sustainability report disclosure purposes.
  • Participate in IT system-related projects and process improvements.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and other accounting and reporting duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3~5 years of relevant practical experience working in an international bank and/or large organization. Previous experience in ESG sustainability reporting would be highly advantageous.
  • Strategic problem solver with high level of awareness and sound knowledge of financial accounting and reporting (IFRS standards), and knowledge of sustainability report standards (ISSB S1/S2).
  • Proficiency in relevant accounting and reporting software systems, as well as good understanding of core banking systems related to loan investments, bond securities investments, derivatives and equities.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, capable of managing a tight schedule.
  • Team player who can communicate for results.
  • Fluent in oral and written English.
  • A Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation from a reputable and internationally recognized institution would be an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in related fields.
