Overview

Location: Pekua / Ramu / Kutubdia (Cox's Bazar)

 

The WORLD Bank has been aiding the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh through United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) to strengthen midwifery- led SRHR care in Bangladesh. Under this initiative, 29 Cleaner will be recruited and deployed to provide 24/7 SRH services at 20 UH&FWCs in Cox’s Bazar District under Health and Gender Support Project (HGSP), funded by the World Bank through UNFPA.

Responsibilities

Services Delivery

  • Maintain IPC protocol at the facility.
  • Ensure cleanliness all over the facility as workplan/ roaster.
  • Cleaning services include collecting dust from General Waste bin, Infectious Waste bin etc. by maintaining IPC protocol, segregation of waste materials, and accumulation of waste materials in big collection bins and ultimately incinerate them in the Incinerator.
  • Follow the instructions of midwife.
  • Clean the Toilets 3 times a day and when necessary, additionally. Also clean Labor room after delivery, observation rooms after patient discharge additionally.
  • Use heavy duty gloves, boots, face mask, gowns when dealing with infectious materials. 
  • Performs any other duties as required and instructed by midwife.

Safeguarding/ PSEA:

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

Special Assignment

  • Carry out any other tasks assigned by the supervisor and senior management team.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid NID.
  • PSC or Class 5 completed.
  • JSC certificate preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year work experience as cleaner.
