Since 2016, International Organization for Migration (IOM) is part of the UN system. IOM is the leading inter-governmental organization in the field of migration and works closely with governmental, intergovernmental, and non-governmental partners. Now you can join IOM’s Pathways Pool (PP). Two tracks have been launched - the Chief of Missions (CoMs) and the Resource Management Officers (RMOs).
After joining the UN System in 2016, new responsibilities have been added to the IOM plate, Global Compact and the Migration Network are just some of the major new assignments.
Chief of Mission (CoM) and Resource Management Officer (RMO) are two professional roles that define country office success. And these roles will now become even more central to IOM’s work. The selection of qualified, diverse candidates for CoM and RMO has been a challenge in the past years and IOM has had problems in finding qualified candidates to meet its rapidly growing needs, including working in non-family and hazardous duty stations.
