3. Civil Society and Local Government
UNDP defines civil society as a third sector existing alongside and interacting with the state and private industry". International Organizations are increasingly working with Civil Society and Local Governments to ensure sustainable positive impact as they know their communities best and the most aware of the context. During emergency crisis, it is the Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) that are left behind in the affected communities to continue assisting the vulnerable.
