UN Volunteer has shown to be one of the best entry-points into the UN system. When Impactpool recently surveyed the most senior leaders of the UN system, we learned that 9.9 percent started their career as a UN Volunteer. This is not a metric UNV talks about, as they won’t communicate volunteerism as a career track, which is fair. But the fact is, as a UN volunteer you build some of the most desired skills available for a continued career at the UN.
