Result of Service
The “CCAC Programme Support Consultant” will support delivery of the CCAC’s governance work. This includes drafting and following up on action points decided by the CCAC Board, and supporting other key areas of work, for example providing secretariat services to the Global Methane Pledge (GMP), supporting advancement of the CCAC SIDS Action Plan, etc. Tasks will include preparing draft agendas for workshops, researching country priorities, updating internal tracking databases, researching, tracking and updating contacts, preparing draft correspondence with CCAC partners, and preparing draft background briefing papers and presentations.

Duties and Responsibilities
Objectives: 1. Prepare draft documents and presentations for CCAC Board meetings. 2. Support for organising the CCAC Board meetings, plus CCAC and GMP ministerial meetings. 3. Recommend and prepare activities to advance the CCAC SIDS Action Plan. 4. Support the mainstreaming of Global Methane Pledge via CCAC activities. 5. Review project proposals for CCAC funding. 6. Ad hoc support as part of the CCAC Secretariat team. Performance indicators: - Timely and high-quality delivery of draft background papers and briefings. - Polished logistics and inputs for CCAC governance meetings. - SIDS engagement and/or contacts increased. - GMP support enhanced. - Proactive support to preparation of documents and meetings. - CCAC tracking databases updated.
Qualifications/special skills
A first-level university degree in international relations, climate change and/or air quality policy, or a related area. - A minimum of 2 years of professional experience working is required. - Demonstrated experience in preparing briefings and presentations is required. - Ability to produce clear and concise draft documents suitable for high level audiences. - Efficient time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple ongoing projects alongside tasks requiring a quick turnaround is desirable. - Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholder groups is desirable. - Knowledge of SIDS priorities is desirable.
Languages
- Fluency in English (written and oral) is required. - Additional knowledge of other UN official languages is an asset.
