Student Assistant Innovation*

in Bonn

The position is to be filled as soon as possible, with an initial contract duration until December 31, 2024. Employment location will be Bonn, Germany. Mobile work within Germany is possible in agreement with your team. You will work 20 hours/week, to enable you to continue your qualification within the framework of your current studies. The position is remunerated with 14 Euro per hour.

Welthungerhilfe's Innovation Unit works on innovative ideas to support our fight against hunger and turns them into impactful solutions through agile methodologies and social businesses. The work of our Innovation Unit is continuously expanding and there are various “clients" we work for. There are external teams, local NGO partners, start-ups and social businesses we support. Our team is spread over the globe which means that there is a lot of virtual collaboration. We work and exchange a lot with our collaboration partners, we organize and hold many virtual (and sometimes physical) work events, are busy with communication and PR work, fundraising, project management and many more things. As Student Assistant Innovation, you will support our team members flexibly and demand based in those work areas.

Your responsibilities

  • Support the preparation and execution of our annual, global “InnoLab” innovation challenge of Welthungerhilfe to find the best innovative ideas in the fight for Zero Hunger

  • Support in project reporting for institutional donors and other contributors 

  • Draft and design presentations, communication materials, web-content etc. 

  • Prepare and document meetings, workshops and conferences 

  • Join the support work for our innovation unit clients, partner organizations and social businesses

  • Support our internal knowledge management, e.g. the filing system and indicator tracking 

  • Support other administrative processes and fulfil general research tasks

Your profile

  • You are currently enrolled as a student in any field that can relate to the fight for Zero Hunger.

  • You are ready and motivated to work in a highly international and dynamic team.

  • You know how to prepare good power-point presentations and are experienced with digital collaboration tools.

  • Organizational skills, curiosity and strong communication skills characterize you.

  • You are committed, reliable and able to work independently.

  • English comes natural to you, both spoken and written; German language skills would be an advantage.
