Position Overview: We are actively seeking experienced consultants at both mid-level and expert-level positions in the field of organizational development, capacity strengthening, change management, and assessment. The ideal candidates will have extensive experience working with local and international NGOs, as well as donors, particularly within the context of the Middle East and Arab region. The role involves providing expertise and guidance to organizations aiming to enhance their operational efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability through targeted capacity-building initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive organizational assessments to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
  2. Develop tailored capacity development plans and strategies based on assessment findings, addressing specific organizational needs and objectives.
  3. Provide guidance and support to NGOs in implementing capacity-building interventions, including training workshops, mentoring, and coaching sessions.
  4. Facilitate change management processes within organizations to foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  5. Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement initiatives aimed at enhancing organizational resilience and sustainability.
  6. Monitor and evaluate the impact of capacity development efforts, using qualitative and quantitative methods to measure effectiveness and identify areas for further improvement.
  7. Stay informed about best practices and emerging trends in organizational development and capacity strengthening, and share knowledge and insights with relevant stakeholders.
  8. Cultivate strong relationships with NGOs, donors, and other partners to facilitate collaboration and knowledge exchange.

Qualifications:

  • For Mid-Level Consultant: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as organizational development, business administration, or international development, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. For Expert-Level Consultant: a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in conducting organizational assessments and developing capacity-building plans for NGOs and other civil society organizations.
  • Strong understanding of change management principles and methodologies, with demonstrated experience in leading organizational change initiatives.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with the socio-political context of the Middle East and Arab region, including knowledge of cultural sensitivities and local dynamics.
  • Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in Arabic or another relevant language is highly desirable.
